Dietitians in Gluten Intolerance Diseases
Dietitians in Gluten Intolerance Diseases (DIGID) is a subunit within the Medical Nutrition Practice Group DPG of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
DIGID is a specialty group for dietitians interested in gluten intolerances, celiac disease, and other conditions using the gluten-free lifestyle.
Gluten intolerance diseases have as their only treatment: medical nutrition therapy – the gluten-free diet. Experts in medical nutrition therapy are dietitians.
The goals of this group include developing standards of care, working with federal and health agencies in establishing policies that are beneficial to persons with gluten intolerances, developing education materials for patients and professionals, a speaker’s bureau and other projects.
Join the leading nutrition experts in celiac disease, from the USA and Canada. Be part of a fast growing area of nutrition. Share and Learn.
DIGID encourages MNPG DPG members to subscribe to our DIGID Electronic Mailing List. Please note that the DIGID Electronic Mailing List is a separate listserve from the MNPG general listserve. It is a great way to keep in touch with your peers and is a great source of “just-in-time” information on gluten free diseases and the gluten free diet.
