Canadian Nutrition Society Annual Conference

Thursday, May 03, 2018 - Saturday, May 05, 2018 The CNS Annual Conference will take place from May 3-5, 2018 at the brand new Halifax Convention Centre. Our Annual Conference is a forum for the presentation of scientific research spanning basic, regulatory/policy, clinical and community nutrition research. It offers an exceptional learning environment and brings together nutrition experts, opinion leaders, industry representatives, government officials, and future leaders.

As part of our tradition, the CNS is excited to host its pre-conference workshops.

Our Food for Health Workshop will be hosted in conjunction with our valued partner - the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI). This one day workshop will bring our various sectors (academic, clinical, industry, and other key stakeholders) together to explore the topic: The Canadian Diet and Health.

The Trainees in Nutrition Workshop will host a full day of opportunities for students/trainees to come together to learn, to share, and to network. Our dynamite student leaders are developing an excellent agenda that will be a great kick-off to the Annual Conference.

Our conference program is dynamic, and brings some of the best expertise together to offer a high quality learning experience for all of our delegates. This is tied to great opportunities to view new research through our Poster and Oral presentations, our exhibition, as well as the chance to be inspired by some of our exceptional award winners.

This year's Friday evening social activity will feature a Maritime Lobster Dinner at the famous Pier 21 - Pier 21 was an ocean liner terminal and immigration shed from 1928 to 1971
